Finished loading, almost didnt have enough work to fill up the whole kiln.
A cone 10 firing at Tom Collins studio, Lots of Tom's plates and my work as well all porcelain.
I just really like how this piece turned out.
In the beginning stages of making a 6' tall bird bath. the idea is the keep the birds safe from a hungry cat.
Trying out a growler idea and some beer chalices and steins. Above is some low fire glazed pieces ready to fire and some of Tom's work above that.
This is a high fire porcelain Vase. Sprayed with a jade glaze and a considerable amount of carving.
This stoneware sculpture is made for an iron rich clay body called death valley red with a single dip in a satin black glaze.
These two stoneware vases were some of the first made. In leather hard state they are very pleasing to look at.
Lots of very nice and successfully piece come out of this firing. About 60 new works for the inventory and my own home.
All the pedestal pieces to my cat proof bird bath are drying, next is the bisque.
